Sahad Nautilus is a fisherman from the Greek area who was a passenger aboard the Lombardia along with Adol before being washed ashore in Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. He is a lighthearted and sincere man who joins Adol and company on their journey in hopes of returning back home to his family.
Sahad is a straightforward and down to earth person who led a simple life as a fisherman caring for his wife and daughter. His lack of etiquette and sometimes rather obscene behaviour and manner of speech often caused him to clash with fellow party member Laxia, who grew up in a noble family. He seems to be good with children and quickly befriends Ricotta as she joins their party.
He is very kindhearted and sensitive—even being the first to cry when things get too emotional.
