Yui Asaoka

Yoh's friend. He has a part-time job at a restaurant, and like Fumiya, he is calm and caring (fortunately, he has some common sense and is not as dense as Fumiya). Yoh says that ninety percent of what Asaoka says is out of kindness and that whomever goes out with him would be happy because of all the kind words he says. Haruna once tried to get Asaoka and her friend Mami-chan together, but Yoh got mad at her because he was jealous Haruna was paying more attention to Asaoka than him and left. During the Grand Athletic Meet, Asaoka made an agreement with Yoh that if he wins the 100m dash and other events he will confess to Haruna. It ended up in a tie. 1 win 1 loss, so it was decided that whoevers team won would be the tie breaker. In the end, white team (Yoh's team) won but Asaoka told Yoh that he never said he liked Haruna. After that Mami told Asaoka that he wasn't true to himself so he passed things off as a joke. Later Asaoka figured out for himself that he truly did like Haruna and told her but she thought it was a trick, like he always pulled off towards her. (Source: Wikipedia)
