Shion Hidaka is one of the main characters of Psycho x Past. He is the head of the Fifth Investigation Division and a self-proclaimed psychic investigator who possesses the mysterious ability to send people into the past.
Eccentric, charismatic, and highly confident, Hidaka maintains a calm and playful demeanor, even when discussing gruesome crimes. He has a particular fascination with serial killers and possesses extensive knowledge of notorious murder cases. His unconventional methods and mysterious abilities make him an unusual figure within the police force.
After meeting Ittetsu Godai, Hidaka recruits him to investigate serial murder cases from the past, using his supernatural powers to give the detective an opportunity to change the fate of their victims. Despite his seemingly carefree attitude, Hidaka is perceptive and calculating, often leaving Godai uncertain about his true intentions.
