Mami is a rival of Ran, known as the "Queen of Ikebukuro". Later on in the series, Mami falls in love with Yuuya. In the anime, she comes from a very rich family. She also develops a truce with Ran in Volume 5 of GALS!; It's okay to have a change of heart.
