A gem that was taken to the moon before the beginning of the story, leaving only their head behind on Earth. Lapis was in charge of the library, a position now taken up by their former partner Ghost Quartz.
Lapis was clever, confident, and charming, with keen observation and great deductive thinking skills. Euclase remarks that although Lapis was extremely smart and pleasant to talk to, they would rather use their skills to satisfy their own intellectual curiosity rather than for the benefit of others. This meant they could be quite manipulative at times. Cairngorm describes Lapis as "surprisingly deceiving" and excellent at keeping secrets.
