Kanae Funami

The protagonist. Kanae is a teenage boy that runs away from his home in Tokyo after feeling the pressure of city life, returning to his home town of Sodeshima. There, he reunites with his childhood friend and first love, Akari Hoshina.

Kanae is shocked and deeply upset after learning that Akari is being abused by her older brother Akito, and soon afterwards is forced to make a decision; save Akari's brother as he had planned to, or let him die in order to protect Akari.

After the Rollback phenomenon concludes, Kanae enters a relationship with Akari and begins living with her in Tokyo.
