She is a merry and cheerful person, even to those who she does not know. Since she has the capabilities of a beluga whale, Kana is a natural-born swimmer, though her swimming abilities are not the equivalent level as those of dolphins. Kana wants to perform in the synchronized swimming team with Kana.

Thanks to the cooking club, she discovers that her main skill is her talent to produce sounds and sing with the naval cavity on her forehead. As a result, the cooking club helps train Kana for a performance to join the synchronized swimming team. When the performance started, Kana was nowhere to be seen and was thought to have given up, though she shortly breaches the surface and sings. Her singing touched Ruka, prompting her to join the performance. After the show, Kana was properly admitted into the synchronized swim team.
