Ichika Orimura

The protagonist of Infinite Stratos. He is a first year student at the IS academy. His older sister, Chifuyu, is a legendary IS pilot. The siblings were abandoned by their parents at a young age and Ichika was raised by his sister thereafter. Ichika has a habit of personally assessing the situation with interior monologues as well as being easily out-guessed about his tactics. As the first (and thus far only) male IS pilot, his new reputation has made him somewhat famous. He pilots the Byakushiki IS. He is also considered to be fairly dense as he doesn't realize the feelings of those around him (especially the girls) despite repeated attempts and even open hints.
