She is a Yanome government official. She was chosen to oversee the NInannah sacrificial ceremony for the Spirit Bear.

After Fushi's attack in Yanome, Hayase spends about 5 years searching for him. She eventually meets him again on Jananda. Hayase had developed an obessive love for Fushi ever since they first met. Her love was so strong that she would kill anyone that Fushi was close to in order to have Fushi to herself. Her willpower was so strong that her love for Fushi would be passed down to her descendants, leading to the forming of The Guardian Force.
