The Sphinx is the incarnation of the sky god Horus and the manifestation of raging fire and wind that strikes fear upon the people, a beast from ancient Egypt with the body of a lion and the face of a man. It’s a creature among the most powerful kinds of demonic beasts, a divine beast capable of flight, known as a Phantasmal. It has even more magical energy than a typical Servant.
In Fate/Prototype : The Abu el-Hol Sphinx that fights King Arthur in Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver is claimed by Ozymandias to possess enough power to defeat three Servants, though King Arthur is able to slay it. The Sphinx is able to cover itself with flames, instantly melting the materials its body comes into contact with. It can also adjust the temperature of its claws specifically, turning them into red hot blades.
In Fate/Grand Order : Sphinx are enemies encountered by Chaldea in the Camelot Singularity. The Sphinx Wehem Mesut is the leader specimen that ruled over the Sphinxes. Ozymandias is capable of manifesting it during battle.
