Tomris Kaya (born 2001, Ankara, Turkey) is an independent filmmaker and photographer based in Ankara. She completed the Summer Filmmaking Workshop at Prague Film School in 2026, where she wrote and directed her second short film, "Best, Andra", as her final project. Her first short film, "The Occupation", was written and directed in 2025.
Working across photography, home video, and short films, Tomris Kaya explores memory, dreams, and the complexities of human experience, often connecting personal narratives with cinematic expression. She graduated from Boğaziçi University with a B.A. in Turkish Language and Literature in 2025 and continues her independent work in cinema and photography.
