Samantha Ruth Prabhu (born April 28, 1987) is an Indian actress and producer who works predominantly in Telugu and Tamil cinema, alongside Hindi streaming productions. She made her feature film acting debut in the romantic drama Ye Maaya Chesave (2010), winning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South and a Nandi Special Jury Award. In 2012, she won both the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Tamil for Neethaane En Ponvasantham and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu for the fantasy action film Eega.
Her subsequent film credits include Dookudu (2011), Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013), Attarintiki Daredi (2013), Kaththi (2014), Manam (2014), Theri (2016), 24 (2016), and Mersal (2017). For the romantic comedy A Aa (2016), she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu. She later appeared in Rangasthalam (2018), Mahanati (2018), Oh! Baby (2019), Majili (2019), and Super Deluxe (2019).
In streaming, she starred in the second season of the series The Family Man (2021) and the action drama series Citadel: Honey Bunny (2024). Her feature film credits during this period include the mystery thriller Yashoda (2022) and the romantic comedy Kushi (2023). Through her production banner Tralala Moving Pictures, she produced the feature Subham (2025) and starred in Maa Inti Bangaaram (2026), alongside joining the series Rakt Brahmānd: The Bloody Kingdom.
