Marcelo Tobar

A film graduate of the Vancouver Film School, he has written, directed, and produced seven feature films. Among them, Oso Polar—the first Latin American film shot entirely on iPhones—won the prestigious Best Film award at the 2017 Morelia International Film Festival, presented by a jury presided over by Béla Tarr. He has over ten years of experience as a screenwriter and director for Mexican series, directed the TV series Amarres (HBO Max, 2021) and two seasons of "ANA" (Prime Video/Pantaya, 2022).
