Karla Perica

Karla Perica (Zagreb, 1997) is a a (screen)writer, filmmaker, poet and critic. She has made several short hybrid films, and [Clouds: Ahead] is her first mid-length experimental documentary film. Graduated in Transmedia Dramaturgy from VERN’ University and in English Studies and Comparative Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. Currently developing two feature scripts and a short. Currently also a film school coordinator at Kinoklub Zagreb and a contributing writer for publications like Vox Feminae and The Croatian Film Chronicle. A member of Kinoklub Zagreb, Blank Film Incubator, and Croatian Screenwriters and Playwrights Guild. Her work focuses on themes of interpersonal relationships, digital intimacy, and the absurdity of everyday life.
